The ninth-generation Hilux was introduced on 10 November 2025 simultaneously in Thailand, Europe and Australia. The exterior was designed by Toyota Australia.
The 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV turbo-diesel producing 150 kW (201 hp; 204 PS) is standard on all models. It produces 500 N⋅m (51 kg⋅m; 369 lb⋅ft) of torque for automatic variants and 420 N⋅m (43 kg⋅m; 310 lb⋅ft) for manual variants. The 2.7-litre petrol four from the previous generation remains available. In Australia the 2.8-litre diesel is the only option.
Toyota announced BEV and FCEV variants to be launched in 2026 and 2028 respectively.
